about

Once again, our man from Gonkyburg in Sweden Mr Andreas Saag aka Swell Session did it. After his fantastic remix of "Release your mind" from the last [re:jazz] album the new Swell Session Remix of "Donaueschingen" is a fine British style hip hop track with a cool bossa feel. This is definitely music for the summer! Once again he transformed an instrumental into a full vocal meltdown of sophisticated beats and jazz and a whole lot more.

On the flip side you will find an equally stunning remix from André Lodemann who drops a deep and moody house interpretation of Donaueschingen. Again, we were stunned by the techniques and adventures André took it making this song something special. André also recorded a 12" for Moods&Groove (Detroit) of late, and did a stunning remix for Rodney Hunter (G-Stone) that had Peter Kruder singing his praises.

Two ‘real’ remixes for sure, and this is not something you see everyday. While others ruin and show little regard for original material and composition, both Andreas and André show true and ultimate respect to the source and the [re:jazz].
